At Jessica Harrison Physiotherapy, our mission is to help women achieve optimal health and wellbeing through personalised, goal-focused treatment plans. We tailor our care to each individual, offering support that ranges from pelvic floor rehabilitation and postnatal MSK assessments to menopause coaching.

Jessica Harrison BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC, POGP, began her career in 2007 after completing her midwifery training and working across both the NHS and private sector. Alongside her professional work, her love of fitness—and her drive to take part in road cycling and running events around the world—sparked a deep passion for women’s health and wellbeing.
Inspired to expand her impact, Jessica transitioned from midwifery into physiotherapy, graduating from the University of the West of England with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (becoming something of a health-profession unicorn along the way). She is now an affiliated member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) organisation and is committed to providing women with the research-based, honest postnatal care they deserve—helping them return safely to exercise, sport, and daily life.
Jessica has undertaken extensive additional training, including Clinical Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Scar Therapy, Specialist Physical Breastfeeding Support (including Therapeutic Breast Ultrasound), Caesarean Section Scar Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Pelvic Floor Assessment, Pelvic Floor Ultrasound Imaging, Clinical Pilates, Mummy MOT®, Menopause Movement Training, and a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy. This breadth of expertise allows her to offer a truly comprehensive and holistic approach to rehabilitation.
In addition to her women’s health work, Jessica is experienced in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions caused by injury, disease, illness, or disability—using evidence-based exercise, manual therapy, education, and individualised treatment plans to help clients regain function and confidence.

Up to half of all women experience weakness in both the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles after pregnancy and up to a third still have a tummy gap at eight weeks post-birth. This can cause instability or poor core strength leading to women developing pelvic or back pain or bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction. This can create instability and weak core strength which results in altered transfer load, back pain, pelvic pain, and bladder and bowel weakness. A Mummy MOT® helps women avoid these distressing and often embarrassing symptoms.

A Mummy MOT® is a specialist postnatal examination for women following both vaginal and caesarean deliveries. It will assess how your posture, pelvic floor muscles and stomach muscles are recovering after birth. And if they’re not, then we can provide you with exercises and treatment to help in your recovery and to return to exercise safely.
Having a baby doesn't mean you have to put up with having live with the physical affects of pregnancy and birth.

A complete physio-led check up involving a full MSK assessment and advice around syptoms and concerns regarding hormones, diet, bladder and or bowel issues, pelvic floor and giving you a greater understanding around this new chapter in you life.

Pregnancy is a time full of change and we can help make it a bit easier. You may not be able to do the exercise you did before, or maybe you want to continue exercising but unsure how to safely. A Mum-To-Be MOT assess your body throughout pregnancy and helps you cope with the physical demands. As well as a full MSK assessment we advice you on how to prepare for labour and birth, how to manage pregnancy related symptoms such as Sciatica or back pain, and help you to safely exercise with a individualised programme tailored to you.

Scar therapy massage uses advanced techniques of massage, soft tissue therapy, myofascial release and instrument assisted massage therapy to aid release of the adhesions that build up around and under your scar. In addition, we work on correcting your breathing pattern, reconnecting your core and allowing optimal pelvic floor function.
